- Essential cookies — a session cookie set by our authentication provider, Supabase, that keeps you signed in; the site cannot function properly without it.
- Analytics cookies — help us understand aggregate readership and traffic patterns (Google Analytics).
- Advertising cookies — used by advertising partners to serve and measure relevant ads, once ad partners are integrated.
Today, AreaKoko only sets the essential authentication cookie above. Analytics and advertising cookies are only set once those integrations go live, per the sections above. Separately, your light/dark theme preference is remembered using your browser's local storage, not a cookie — it never leaves your device.
Consent
By continuing to use AreaKoko, you consent to essential cookies being set. Before we ever set a non-essential analytics or advertising cookie, we will implement a consent mechanism consistent with applicable law — that mechanism isn't live yet because those cookies aren't either.
